Degree Classification Calculator

Work out your UK degree classification (First, 2:1, 2:2, Third) from an overall weighted average percentage.

Use the Weighted Grade Calculator first if you need to combine module scores into a single overall average.

Standard bands, not your university's exact rules

This uses the common UK classification bands: First (70%+), Upper Second/2:1 (60–69%), Lower Second/2:2 (50–59%), Third (40–49%), and Fail (below 40%). Many universities apply borderline rules, module weightings by year, or discretionary uplift near a boundary — always check your own institution's assessment regulations for the figure that actually appears on your certificate.
